Finding a job in Australia!

When looking for employment Mycareer , Careerone and Seek are the largest recruitment agencies in Australia, and all have good websites to help you find work in Australia.

Local newspapers always have positions vacant advertised, and the unemployment rate is currently low. In every Australia Post Office there are complimentary white and yellow pages, this is a good idea to pick these up as soon as you can after you have entered Australia on the relevant visa, this will help you find , work in Australia.

If you are entering Australia on a business visa (Australian visas) and need to buy a business, there are more franchise opportunities currently in Australia than anywhere else in the world. There are real estate agencies specifically targeting, Australian immigration, and people who want to find a business for there, work in Australia.

Take a look at www.century21.com.au or www.raywhite.com
These are two of the largest real estates in Australia and may help you find what you are looking for to enable you to, work in Australia

All this information is shown visually on the Australian Immigration DVD’s available to you, with over two hour’s real life footage of Australia. Since I completed my Australian Immigration I have been working to help people with their own Australian Immigration and gain work in Australia and then Australian Citizenship as I did, by obtaining an Australian visa using an Australian Immigration Lawyer.

I am passionate about the great lifestyle Australia has to offer, and found no visual reality information was available when we were wanting to complete our Australian Immigration, so I decided to produce four DVD’s which show you for yourself the lifestyle on offer here down under.

If you are planning to set up a business you will need to obtain an ABN (Australian Business Number) and everyone needs a tax file number to work in Australia. You can only obtain these once you have entered Australia on the relevant visa (Australian visas). The ABN can be applied for in person at the local office of fair trading which is located in most major towns, I used the office at Maroochydore in Queensland completed a three page form, showed my visa card and Australian drivers licence as proof of identity, paid around $100 and registered the business.

I would have been unable to get a business bank account or trade without registering the business in the state I live. I must admit I don’t know the rules for the other states, as all licences and registrations can operate differently. In fact the country operates differently from state to state, I’m not real sure on the politics but John Howard is the PM, is liberal and our Queensland State Premier is Peter Beatie and he is Labour, and is state is run independently under the main party rules.

When you have completed your Australian immigration your tax file number is obtained online and again can only be done once you are in Australia. It may help you to look at the Australian Taxation Office website www.ato.gov.au

Many trades need Australian licences to work and they are generally only valid for the state you are in.  The self employed need to complete a BAS (Business Activity Statement) return every quarter. The GST (Goods and Services Tax) is currently 10% and similar to the UK’s VAT.

In our house we have two businesses Gary’s and mine Living Down Under, I am able to do the book keeping and BAS statements every quarter, then  at the financial year end 30th June we employ a tax specialist (accountant) to complete our year end.

After your Australian immigration, everyone needs to do a tax return at the end of the year, even the fully employed. A system which is very different to the UK, and there is a negative gearing tax benefit for anyone wanting to buy investment property…you get  a tax reduction for any debt the investment property has incurred.

Check the ATO (Australian Tax Office) website for the latest news, and the www.Australiagov.com.au website holds a lot of information.

Since our Australian immigration, we have found in Queensland that currently Sydney, Brisbane and the Gold Coast have larger corporate organisations, sales positions. Yet the Sunshine Coast has a lot more small businesses, both have lots of retail and obviously tourism, work in Australia should be no problem.

Australia is like anywhere, In my view, if you are willing to work in Australia you WILL find work in Australia and do well, as employers respect immigrants for there commitment to the country and the fact they have make a huge change in there lifestyle. That’s not to say you wont get ribbed for your accent and being a POHM – you will.

The information is shown visually, the DVD’s available are Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney .  The DVD is over two hours long and has narrated footage and will show you lots about obtaining a job and work in Australia.

These DVD’s are vital information for anyone wanting to Immigrate to Australia, or is thinking of Australian Immigration or wanting to work in Australia.

Australian Visas can be obtained from many Australian immigration lawyer, however if you have an immigration related or Australian citizenship question you can’t find the answer to, try this www.askamigrationexpert.com for a free service, to resolve your, work in Australia or visa for Australia query.
