Australian Immigration Dvds - Can you bring Pets to Australia?
Quite simply …YES you can!
When I completed my Australian immigration, I didn’t bring any pets, our two goldfish were donated to a friend. But I have friends one brought a dog, the other a cat. Your removal specialist would be able to help you try King and Wilson, 7 seas Worldwide, Pickfords or Fleet Britannia for more information.
I know there is a quaranteen system of about six weeks, but once your pet has completed its Australian Immigration there are ‘dog walking’ parks and poop bags available on many park lampposts in case you need one. Dogs are allowed off leash on many beaches and they are signed clearly.
You will see when you arrive after your Australian immigration, the pet shops in Australia have dogs for sale in the window, and sell everything from birds to snakes, all animals are popular for families who have completed their Australian Immigration. Dogs being the most popular.
There are a choice of Vet services in most residential areas, and of course the fees vary.
All this information is shown visually on the Australian Immigration DVD’s available to you. Since I completed my Australian Immigration I have been working to help people with their own Australian Immigration and gain work in Australia and then Australian Citizenship as I did, by obtaining an Australian visa using an Australian Immigration Lawyer.
I am passionate about the great lifestyle Australia has to offer, and found no visual reality information was available when we were wanting to complete our Australian Immigration, so I decided to produce six DVD’s which show you for yourself the lifestyle on offer here down under.
Many people I’ve spoken to especially the ladies are really scared of spiders and snakes and this is a huge issue for them when considering Australian immigration, and yes the country is home to many of the worlds deadliest species.
But in my view you just need to be aware they are there and use your common sense, don’t let your kids play in bushes and long grass, there is plenty of short grass to run and play on. In two years I have seen two red backs and two wolf spiders in my house, and one small snake out in the forest or bush as the Aussies call it.
Yes they are there but if you.do the right thing and get your house sprayed by the pest control man every year you shouldn’t have too many issues
The information is shown visually, the DVD’s available are Sunshine Coast, Perth and Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney. The DVDs are narrated footage and will show you lots about pets, you will see vets, dog walking parks and the poop bags. So you can see for yourself what living in Australia would be like after your Australian Immigration.
These DVD’s are vital information for anyone wanting to Immigrate to Australia, or is thinking of Australian Immigration or wanting to work in Australia.
Australian Visas can be obtained from many Australian immigration lawyer, however if you have an immigration related or Australian citizenship question you can’t find the answer to, try this www.askamigrationexpert.com for a free service, to resolve your, work in Australia or visa for Australia query.

Making friends after your Australian immigration?
I’ve found in all areas of Queensland, there are lots of immigrants from the UK, lots of Kiwis from New Zealand and many South Africans so making friends is relatively easy as so many people are new to the area, and in the same boat as you are.
In fact since my Australian immigration, five of my best friends are all from interstate and have moved to Queensland from Sydney and Melbourne, they have moved for the lifestyle and weather. I can GUARANTEE in Australia you will meet some great friendly people.
You do have to put your self out there, after your Australian immigration. Join groups and clubs, involve your kids in activities. Get yourself down to the beach and chat to people, which wont be a problem, the people here are so friendly.

Kids make friends the quickest and it was the same in the UK, we found many good friends through our kids and are still friends with them today.
The UK immigrants, after their Australian immigration are still nicknamed POMIE to this day, which stands for ‘Prison of his majesty in exile’, and a bit of history for you….. In the 17th century seamen sighted Western Australia, then in 1770 James Cook discovered the East Coast and eighteen years later the first reluctant settlers British convicts and soldiers arrived to disrupt the isolated existence of the Aboriginal people who had lived here for over 50,000 years.

AUSTRALIAN IMMIGRATION - LIFE AT THE BEACH
There are many patrolled beaches, which mean surf life savers are watching the water during certain hours. These people undergo an intensive physical and at least a 12 week study course to become accredited, many work in Australia on a volunteer basis.
On the Australian immigration DVD’s Brisbane, Sunshine Coats, Sydney and Gold Coast, we interview a real life lifesaver from Lancashire, Clare talks about what training she had to undergo to get her bronze medallion, and what being a surf life saver means to her.
There is a coloured flag system used to indicate the conditions in the ocean, green symbolises the surf is safe, yellow is swim with caution, and red indicates no swimming, the blue flags advise surfers with boards they are not allowed to swim between these flags. The surf life savers watch the waters between the red and yellow flags.
Since my Australian Immigration I would recommend you only swim on beaches where there is surf lifesavers, in the Australian waters there are many rips, curls and dumping waves, many dangers, migrants to Australia are unaware of when immigrating to Australia from the UK.
An Aussie motto for beach life is SLIP,SLOP,SLAP
Slip on a t-shirt
Slop on sun cream
And Slap on a hat. This is taught from a very young age.
Care for the skin is very prevalent in Queensland, as it has the highest ratio of skin cancer in the world, however there is a good cure rate for this type of cancer if found in its early stages.
Safe sun is the go, and sun protection screen is generally only available in a factor 30+.
An annual free skin cancer check can be obtained under the Medicare system, and to obtain this you would just make an appointment at the clinic and have a check up, at the end of the visit show your Medicare card to the receptionist.
All this information is shown visually on the Australian Immigration DVD’s available to you, with lots of real life footage showing you Australia.
Since I completed my Australian Immigration I have been working to help people with their own Australian Immigration and gain work in Australia and then Australian Citizenship as I did, by obtaining an Australian visa using an Australian Immigration Lawyer.
I am passionate about the great lifestyle Australia has to offer, and found no visual reality information was available when we were wanting to complete our Australian Immigration, so I decided to produce four DVD’s which show you for yourself the lifestyle on offer here down under.
Usually every town has a ‘Surf life saving’ club, As well as the social scene and reasonable food prices. The surf clubs teach children all about the ocean or ‘surf’ as the Aussies call it. They will learn all about wave types, sea life and how to get out of danger and help a person in need. This club is called ‘nippers’ and operates on Sunday mornings during the summer from 8am until noon.
These surf clubs also operate a ‘courtesy bus’, which is free of charge for members. The annual membership fee is around $25 so not much for the facilities you get for free, including free coffee whenever you like.
The surf clubs and many bars have a bustling atmosphere on weekends and have live music Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons from 3pm. This is very popular and they allow kids in until 9pm.
Generally there is a casual dress code in Australia, however topless sunbathing is rarely seen. In the evenings many of the ‘membership type’ clubs have a dress code where the boys need to wear a t-shirt not vest and wear covered in shoes, rubber thongs (flip flops) and beachwear are unacceptable after 7pm.
Some of the most popular beaches are lit up during the evening, like the one where we live since our Australian immigration at Mooloolaba making beach life at night very popular. As Queensland goes dark around 7.30 in the summer and 6.00 in the winter, it will come light around 4am in summer and 6am in winter – there’s lots of blue sky and daylight here.
A community system named ‘street angels’ walk the streets in some towns and help the youths along, they have some reprimand powers and from what I’ve seen act as a very good deterrent to the young people.
The information is shown visually, the DVD’s available are Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney, Perth and Melbourne. The DVDs have narrated footage and will show you lots about beach life.
These DVD’s are vital information for anyone wanting to Immigrate to Australia, or is thinking of Australian Immigration or wanting to work in Australia.

The Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, Senator Chris Evans, will today (Friday) urge the states and territories to boost their use of state-sponsored skilled migration to meet labour market demands.
Senator Evans will raise the issue at a meeting of the Ministerial Council for Immigration and Multicultural Affairs in Perth.
‘There is the capacity within the Federal Government’s permanent skilled migration program for states and territories to sponsor overseas skilled workers in occupations in demand,’ Senator Evans said.
‘The Rudd Government’s May Budget added an additional 31 000 skilled migrants to the 2008-09 Migration Program to help employers with the skills shortage.
‘I will be encouraging the states and territories to increase their use of state-sponsored migration to better link skilled workers to the economic needs in their jurisdictions.’
Overall, permanent skilled migration will make up 133 500 places in the migration program, which totals 190 300 for 2008-09.
Last financial year’s skilled migration outcome totalled some 108 500 places, which included a special allocation of 6000 extra skilled migration places announced by the Rudd Government in February. About 7500 of the skilled migrants were state and territory sponsored visa applicants.
Department of Immigration and Citizenship figures from recent years show that state and territory sponsored skilled migration forms less than 10 per cent of the overall skilled migration program whereas employer sponsored migration is closer to 20 per cent. Skilled workers migrating independently continue to comprise more than half the program.
Senator Evans said the Government would consider providing greater flexibility for states and territories under the sponsorship program to enable them to sponsor more skilled workers in areas of high demand.

The Childcare and Education system in Australia
Childcare is available from 6 weeks old in day-care (kindy), which generally operates from 6.30am -6.30pm, until prep which is when the child is 4 or 5 depending which Australian state you choose to live after your Australian immigration. The day-care system is paid for, and there is little ‘playgroup’ style care, like we have in the UK where you would leave your child for a morning for a small fee, it is generally full day care, with full day fee’s.
Then the child will go to primary school, until they are 11or12 year’s old grade 7. You will need to show the school you’re Australia Visa, in your passport as proof of your Australian Immigration status.
School times are generally 8.35 – 2.45 but may vary slightly. The children need to wear a uniform and in Queensland it is shorts and school t-shirt and of course a wide brimmed hat. A school rule is ‘No hat, no play, no fun today.’
In New South Wales and the Sydney DVD you will see children ‘rugged up’ more with long trousers, jumpers for school, this is due to the differences in climate, yet in the summer months it is the same throughout Australia, shorts and a T-Shirt.
A different ‘house’ t-shirt is usually required for PE (Physical Education) lessons and sports days. There are no school meals provided, as the children take lunch from home, or buy from the school tuck shop, a volunteer facility where you can buy sandwiches, toasties, drinks, hot dogs, fruit and chips (which are crisps.) The children have two main break times ‘little lunch’ around 11am and ‘big lunch’ around 1pm.
All this information is shown visually on the Australian Immigration DVD’s available to you, with real life footage of Australia. Since I completed my Australian Immigration I have been working to help people with their own Australian Immigration and gain work in Australia and then Australian Citizenship as I did, by obtaining an Australian visa using an Immigration Lawyer.
I am passionate about the great lifestyle Australia has to offer, and found no visual reality information was available when we were wanting to complete our Australian Immigration, so I decided to produce four DVD’s which show you for yourself the lifestyle on offer here down under.
In the non religious schools, assembly is usually once a week and held in the undercover area, a large outdoor area which as the name says is undercover. For safety a lot of schools have a reverse parking policy in the car parks.
The classrooms are in separate blocks, and the oval is a large playing field. As featured on the DVD the schools have excellent playground facilities and climbing frames, sandpits, monkey bars etc…
Many of the children ride their scooters, bikes or walk to school. Australia is well set up with cycle tracks which are generally shared with the pedestrians.
Holiday’s times are 6 weeks mid December until end of January, 2.5 weeks off at end of June, and 2.5 weeks off at end of September and 10 days at Easter
I love the lack of security around school, and since my Australian immigration have found at the school I am involved with there are no locked gates, and from my experience there is a lovely partnership between parents and teachers on the education. For example if we had relatives over from England and I wanted my son to have the day off to go to Australia Zoo , the teachers are very amenable and even encourage ‘family time’ where the kids will remember and also learn.
Since our Australian immigration my son goes to the largest school in Queensland which has over 1200 kids, yet it has two deputies and is very well organised. The standard of education here is very high, and techniques envied by education systems around the world.
When we completed our Australian immigration we put Mitchell into a school on the Gold Coast for a few weeks, and then moved him, and although not a great thing to do. He has easily adjusted and found friends quickly. I think it’s the parents who are more worried, and the kids just get on with being kids generally. But to all those mums out there…I was very worried about him for a few weeks, but this is only natural.
Then it’s off to High School until aged 16 year 12. Some schools operate a two tier schedule. If you are in grade 8,9,10 you will go from 10.30am – 4pm, if you are in grade 11, 12 you will go to school 7.30am-1pm. Then it is customary for you to get a small part time job a couple of afternoons to ease you into, work in Australia.
It is tradition after graduation to go to the prom, and many children go on holiday for a week, which has the name ‘schoolies’. These children from all over Australia holiday in October, generally to the Gold Coast. A release for them before the big changes in their lives and work in Australia.
Many of the schools have there own swimming pools, which are generally outdoors. Where children can take lessons from 1 month of age, sports are big on the curriculum and from grade 1 the children will have swimming lessons during the term. In the later years of primary school the children have a choice of surfing, golf, sailing all for a small charge.
Since our Australian immigration I have attended swimming lessons with my daughter from the age of three months, my son had to be aged four in England before he could start lessons. Madi is now 21 months, and her teacher who works in Australia is teaching her to swim safely with clothes incase he falls into the pool and thinks she will swim by the age of two.
If they want to continue education its TAFE (the equivalent to 6th form college) which generally do skills based courses or apprenticeships and day release studies or University for which Queensland has some of the best universities the Sunshine Coast University and the Brisbane and Griffith Universities all have fabulous reputations, all of which will set you up to work in Ausralia.
Private Schools are available (some of which are religious), where the fees vary, and are very popular with Australian immigration families, with them being smaller and have a religious curriculum.
The information is shown visually, the DVD’s available are Perth, Melbourne, Sunshine Coast , Brisbane , Gold Coast , Sydney . The DVD is over two hours long and has narrated footage and will show you inside a school, attend assembly, playtime, and a swimming lesson, which from the feedback all the Australian immigration families love to watch.

DO YOU BUY OR BUILD A HOUSE AFTER AUSTRALIAN IMMIGRATION
Since my Australian immigration, I have found that it is personal choice really.
In Australia there is housing to suit any budget, from small one bedroomed units, to duplex accommodation which is like the UK semi detached house. However most family style housing is a ‘low sets’ like our bungalows, this is the preferred style by Australians.
All houses are usually sold on land size and square meterage . Acerage is also very sort after, it is important when buying a house to ensure you are aware of the way the house is facing to make the most of breezes through the house and sun positions.
In Australia a person will buy a block of land and then shop around for a builder, for which there are many to choose from. Two of the largest builders are Coral Homes and Hallmark Homes usually the planning process takes around 3 months, then 4 months to build the property. The builder generally builds just the house and you would complete the outside of the property driveway, gardens, fences, pool etc…..yourselves.
Due to the building process you could have two houses the same but because of the brick work/ render style and façade will look completely different like these two. This makes Australian houses all look different and have their own character.
All this information is shown visually on the Australian Immigration DVD’s available to you, with real life footage of Australia.
On all the new housing estates there will be a show street where the master builders display there homes, on the DVD’s you will visit inside three typical Australian houses, and see the way Australian immigrants live.
You are allowed to build or buy once you have a relevant Australian visa, if you are planning to live in Australia prior to your permanent visa approval this is allowed, however you would only be able to rent a property and not build or buy.
In Queensland there are many timber houses called ‘Queenslanders’, these are sometimes built on stilts and are a split level home
Rubbish collection is one a weekly basis, and the wheelie bin system is in operation. We have two wheelie bins, and everyday rubbish then a recyclable bin. There is also a local tip where you can dump Christmas excess and any large items, which I must say is the cleanest, un smelly tip with manicured gardens I have ever been too. There is a small charge to dump some items, but theres also a shop you can pick some bargains up,
The ‘postie’ or postman will deliver your mail to your postbox which is always at the end of your drive or garden. He delivers your mail once a day on a motorcycle.
When we arrived after our migration to Australia, we noticed there are no pavements, along the streets. This is because the first six meters of the land is all council owned so a householder would have to maintain that land but they don’t own it, therefore you can walk along that grassed area with no problem, also there are many bike and pedestrian paths along the side of houses and along the back of the houses.
Rates are paid on a half yearly basis to the local council, 000 ambulance service charge is collected on the electricity bill, and excess water is charged for those who water their gardens a lot and top up the pool
Since my Australian immigration in general I find the cost of living very similar to the UK, you seems to pay the same yet get more , like fruit and meat you will get larger items for the same price. Fuel is cheaper and currently just over $1 a litre.
Real Estate is big business and to sell you usually get charged 2.5% of the sale price, some large National organisations are LJ Hooker, Ray White, Harcourts, Elders, Century21, The Professionals and First National.
All the major banks will accommodate home loans such as Commonwealth, National, ANZ. However as a new migrant you may need to get a ‘low doc’ (low documentation) loan and pay a slightly higher interest rate and use the property as security, two of the main lenders for this type of loan are RAMS and AUSSIE.
Something we found different after our Australian immigration, is that most major banks, charge bank charges for everything you do, take your cash out, hold an account pretty much everything. However ther are some building societies which have no-charge everyday accounts, similar to the UK.
When we completed our Australian Immigration we were unable to find a house, well the house of our dream was in the next price bracket, and as I was pregnant that would have been a silly move. We decided the best way would be to rent and build, our build took ten months and we have the house of our dreams. On recent real estate valautions we have increased the value of the property by 13%, which has been a wsie move for us.
But, when you first arrive after your Australian immigration, like me, you just want a home and to settle down into your new life. I would recommend if you can find that home, buy it and get on with your new life, if you cant build it and then do it.
In my opinion after our Australian immigration building just delays the settling-in process. Building a home can be stressful, as builders don’t always do what you want, or to your standards.
The information is shown visually, the DVD’s available are Perth, Melbourne, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney . The DVD s are narrated footage and will show you lots about buying and building houses, we will take you inside three show homes, which are typical Australian family homes. So you can see for yourself what living in Australia would be like after your Australian Immigration.
These DVD’s are vital information for anyone wanting to Immigrate to Australia, or is thinking of Australian Immigration or wanting to work in Australia.
